One-Woman Show: The Bell Witch Unveiled

ONE-WOMAN SHOW: THE BELL WITCH UNVEILED

Debbie Dunn aka DJ Lyons is a professional storyteller and published author. In addition to a book-signing, she performs a One-Woman Show called The Bell Witch Unveiled based on her book entitled The Bell Witch Unveiled At Last! The True Story Of A Poltergeist written under her pen name of DJ Lyons.

This One-Woman Show attempts to clear the name of Cate Williams Batts (often spelled Kate). This was the woman wrongly accused of being the poltergeist who haunted the family of John and Lucy Bell from 1817 to 1821. Debbie tells this story in first-person perspective, portraying the part of Cate Batts herself.

This carefully researched and investigated performance piece (told from Cate Batts perspective) for middle school, high school, college, and adult audiences, reveals at last the true identify and motives of the Bell Witch of Adams, Tennessee.

Stories Out Of A Trunk: 1-Day Assemblies

STORIES OUT OF A TRUNK PROGRAM
FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

Description of STORIES OUT OF A TRUNK PROGRAM: Includes two 90-minute workshops for up to 35 to 40 students each. During this workshop, I introduce the storytelling playlet, I hold auditions, and we rehearse the story. All costumes are provided. That afternoon, the school holds one or two all-school assemblies where I perform 1 or 2 solo tales followed by the two target groups performing their storytelling playlet for all their classmates, parents, and press.
